Ingredients
  

For the Stir-Fry
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Honey Garlic Sauce
  • cup soy sauce (low sodium)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (mixed with water)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
For Serving (Optional)
  • 2 cups cooked rice or noodles
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions sliced

Method
 

  1. Whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes; set aside.
  2. Cook onion in olive oil until fragrant; add ground beef and brown. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  3. Add broccoli and water; cover and steam 3-4 minutes until tender.
  4. Stir in sauce, simmer 2 minutes, then add cornstarch slurry to thicken.
  5. Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes.
