  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until translucent.
  2. Add ground beef, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper; cook until beef is browned.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer mixture to a baking dish, top with shredded cheddar cheese, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.

Use lean ground beef for a healthier option and customize toppings as desired.
