Ingredients
  

Beef Mixture
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
Serving
  • Cooked rice for serving
Toppings
  • sliced green onions
  • sesame seeds
  • kimchi
  • fried egg optional

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet.
  3. Stir well to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  4. Serve the Korean ground beef over cooked rice.
  5. Top with your desired toppings, such as sliced green onions, sesame seeds, kimchi, and a fried egg.

Notes

Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to your desired level of spiciness.
