Method
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Steam or blanch the broccoli until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add cooked broccoli to the skillet, season with red pepper, salt, and black pepper, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Combine the cooked pasta with the broccoli mixture, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, and toss to combine.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
