  • 2 slices bread sourdough, baguette, or multigrain recommended
  • 4 oz Brie cheese sliced
  • 1/2 cup Mirabelle plums pitted and halved (or quartered if large)
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves optional
  • 1 tablespoon butter softened (optional, for toasting)

Method
 

  1. If desired, spread softened butter on the outside of each slice of bread.
  2. Place Brie slices on one slice of bread.
  3. Arrange Mirabelle plum halves (or quarters) on top of the Brie.
  4. Drizzle with honey (if using).
  5. Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves (if using).
  6. Top with the other slice of bread.
  7. If desired, toast the sandwich in a skillet or panini press until golden brown and the Brie is melted.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a high-quality Brie and ripe Mirabelle plums. Toasting the bread enhances the overall experience.
