Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9-inch round pan.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in mashed bananas and sour cream. Gently fold in nuts if using.
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg to the dry ingredients.
