No-Boil Broccoli Pasta Bake

Ingredients
  

Pasta and Vegetables
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil (for greasing the baking dish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. Combine uncooked pasta, broccoli, marinara, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in the dish. Pour broth over and stir.
  3. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil, add cheeses, and bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
  4. Let cool briefly before serving.

Notes

Use fresh or frozen broccoli for best results. Adjust seasoning to taste.
