Ingredients
  

Butter and Sugars
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 0.5 cup white sugar (granulated)
Wet ingredients
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Dry ingredients
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
Oats and Nuts
  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (about 4 ounces)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon; mix well.
  4. Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
  5. Fold in oats and walnuts; drop spoonfuls onto sheets and bake 12-15 mins.
  6. Cool cookies on wire rack before serving.

Notes

For softer cookies, bake for 12 minutes; for crunchier, bake longer.
