Old Fashioned Tuna Noodle Casserole (Just like Grandma Made!)

A comforting and classic tuna casserole with a crunchy topping, just like grandma used to make.

Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cans tuna, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup crushed potato chips (for topping)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook noodles until al dente, then drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat oil or butter and sauté chopped onion until softened.
  3. Mix tuna, mushroom soup, milk, peas, noodles, and onion. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with cheese and crushed chips, then bake 25-30 minutes.

Notes

Feel free to add extra cheese or spices for more flavor.
