Method
- Brown ground beef in a pot, drain grease.
- Add onion and garlic, cook until softened (5 min).
- Stir in tomatoes, sauce, broth, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, add pasta (submerge in liquid, add more broth/water if needed).
- Reduce heat, cover, simmer for 15-20 min (until pasta is cooked, sauce thickened, stir occasionally).
- Remove from heat, stir in parmesan cheese (if using).
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a combination of ground beef and Italian sausage.
