Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl, then stir in pumpkin, eggs, butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in another bowl.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into wet mixture. Do not overmix. Stir in optional walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra moist bread, store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
