Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
Oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Vegetables
  • 1 unit onion, finely chopped
Garlic & Ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
Canned Goods
  • 1 14 oz crushed tomatoes
Dairy & Fats
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Spices
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
Seasonings
  • to taste salt and pepper
Garnish & Serve
  • as needed fresh cilantro for garnish
  • for serving cooked rice or naan

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a skillet, sauté onion until translucent.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes and spices, simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat, add cream and butter, cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with cilantro and serve over rice or naan.

Notes

Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
