Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or spaghetti)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • optional fresh basil or parsley for garnish
  • optional grated parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté diced onion until translucent, then add garlic and cook 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef, cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
  5. Add cooked pasta, toss to combine, cook 2-3 minutes until heated through. Serve garnished with herbs and cheese if desired.

Notes

Feel free to add extra herbs or cheese for more flavor.
