Method
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and thyme, whisking to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth, cooking until mixture thickens.
- Stir in cooked chicken, carrots, celery, and half of the cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine the sauce with cooked noodles, transfer to a baking dish, top with remaining cheese, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
You can add peas or other vegetables for extra nutrition.
