Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
Seasonings
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook ground beef and diced onion until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Mix beef, onion, mushroom soup, and sour cream; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread mixture in a greased 9x13 inch dish, top with cheese, then tater tots.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Let cool briefly before serving.

Notes

For a healthier option, use lean ground beef or low-fat cheese.
