Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla, mix well.
  4. Mix in flour, baking soda, salt until a soft dough forms.
  5. Drop dough onto baking sheet, bake 8-10 mins until edges are golden.

Notes

For softer cookies, do not overbake.
