Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
Cake Mix
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
Butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Liquid
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine strawberries and sugar; let sit 10 minutes.
  3. Pour strawberries into a greased 9x13 inch dish and sprinkle cake mix over.
  4. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix, then pour water and vanilla on top without stirring.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dollop of whipped cream or a sprinkle of powdered sugar before serving.
