  • 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 jalapeño seeded and minced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Combine strawberries, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using) in a bowl.
  2. Add lime juice, honey, and salt.
  3. Gently stir to combine.
  4. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  5. Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips, grilled chicken, fish, or tacos.

Notes

For best flavor, use ripe strawberries and allow the salsa to sit for at least 30 minutes before serving.
