Tater Tot Casserole with Ground Beef

Ingredients
  

Meat and Dairy
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz can
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots 32 oz
Seasonings
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • optional garlic powder, paprika, or any favorite spices

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook beef with onions, seasonings, then stir in soup and sour cream. Simmer 2-3 mins.
  3. Spread beef mixture in greased dish, top with 1 cup cheese, then layer tater tots.
  4. Bake 25-30 mins until tater tots are golden. Top with remaining cheese, bake 5 mins.
  5. Let cool 5 mins before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add your favorite spices or herbs to the beef mixture.
