Ingredients
  

Dairy and Eggs
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 1 cup Brown sugar (packed light or dark)
  • 1/2 cup White granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large Eggs (room temperature)
Dry ingredients
  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
Chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Dark chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Mix melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla, and eggs until smooth.
  2. Add flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; mix until just combined.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto parchment-lined sheets and top with extra chips.
  4. Bake for 13-15 minutes until edges are golden. Let sit 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.

Notes

For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let sit on the pan for a few minutes.
