Ingredients
  

Sweet Potatoes
  • 4 cups mashed sweet potatoes about 4 to 5 medium
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar for topping
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup melted butter for topping
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix sweet potatoes, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, milk, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  3. Spread mixture in prepared dish.
  4. Combine topping ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle over casserole.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden. Let sit 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg to the sweet potato mixture.
