Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut squash in half and roast for 30-40 mins.
- Cook sausage until browned, then add marinara and simmer for 5 mins.
- Scoop out squash strands and mix with ricotta, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Combine squash mixture with sausage and marinara, then transfer to a baking dish.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan, then bake for 20-25 mins until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with basil before serving.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute sausage with sautéed vegetables.
