Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 cups diced bread (cubed)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook sausage until browned, then drain.
  2. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
  3. Layer bread, sausage, bell peppers, and half of cheese in a greased dish. Pour egg mixture over.
  4. Top with remaining cheese and green onions. Bake for 30-35 minutes until set and golden.

Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before slicing for cleaner servings.
