  • 0.75 cup Salted Butter
  • 0.75 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 Egg Egg
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon Kosher Salt (table salt can be used in the same measurement)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 11.5 ounces Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 0.5 cup Chopped Walnuts (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  2. Add egg and vanilla, then mix until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add to wet ingredients.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring.
