Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Beat softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, mix well.
- Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; beat on low until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Use a 2 tbsp cookie scoop to place dough on baking sheet. Top with extra chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden. Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
Notes
For thicker cookies, stack dough balls high before baking.
