Ingredients

Floral Simple Syrup
  • 1 cup Water for syrup
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Rose Water or 1/4 cup edible rose petals
Lemonade Base
  • 1 cup Fresh Lemon Juice about 4-5 lemons
  • 3 cups Cold Water
  • 1 cup Ice for serving
  • 4 sprigs Fresh Mint for garnish (optional)

Method

  1. To make the floral simple syrup, combine 1 cup water and granulated sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the rose water (or add rose petals and let steep for 10 minutes, then strain).
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled floral simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and 3 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine.
  3. Fill glasses with ice. Pour the floral lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint or a few edible rose petals, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a more intense floral flavor, you can increase the amount of rose water or steep edible flowers for a longer period in the warm simple syrup. Adjust sweetness to your preference.
