Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
Wet ingredients
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
  • 2 cups walnuts (coarsely chopped)
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400F and line baking sheets with parchment paper. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  3. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, then fold in walnuts and chocolate chips.
  4. Shape dough into 12 large cookies and place on baking sheets 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 12 minutes until golden. Cool slightly and serve warm or with ice cream.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality chocolate chips and fresh walnuts.
